thank you! i realized while rewatching the series that a lot of things about kara were questioned (like what the hell she was) but everyone knew she was the best in a viper. and there had to be a reason. also, the drabble was just lovely and let me explore the idea of home even further - which i always find so fascinating within BSG, because "home" is lost to them. the definitions of home are always changing and moving - earth will be home, new caprica is home, galactica is home - but none of those survive the series. (except for new!earth.) so.
