I don't read death fics, but I was intrigued by the Creevey family tag, and even though it was painful, I'm glad I did read this. It's amazingly well written. It's an interesting and fresh perspective on the wizarding world, of course, but it's much more than that. It reminds me of historical documentaries and dramas about the first world war, particularly one about lord Baden-Powell and the ideals of the scout movement, and how it lead to so many children volunteering and dying in the war. It's good that Robert can still live, and be there as Dennis' dad, despite his enormous loss.
