Oh, WOW. Thank you SO MUCH for writing this - it's pretty much all I could have hoped to ask for in a remix and beyond.
It's amazing how on the surface, all you did was change the POV - but you ended up creating your own rich story that stands just as well on its own as beside my story.
You understood the themes and psychological issues behind this version of the pairing so completely, and caught onto things I didn't even think about. The phrasing and metaphors are *beautiful*, and I adore how you chose to end it in a different spot.
I especially love: the bit in the beginning about fairy tales, Kennedy waking up and watching Willow sleep, Kennedy realizing that something's going on with Willow she can't be a part of, the way Xander approaches Willow and the highlighting of the Willow and Xander friendship (because I love that friendship so hard), Willow whispering Tara in her sleep, Kennedy's mad search for Willow (I never even considered what Kennedy might think or do about her disappearance, so that was really nice to see), the background on Kennedy's mother and Kennedy's own drinking, Kennedy and Xander continuing the Sundays at nine thing, Kennedy's Slayer pack, Kennedy seeing Willow at the shop, and the ending with Talia.
Basically I loved everything. :D (And the remix title, too! It's so perfect!)
So thanks again for doing this - it's so nice to see an expansion on one of the works I'm proudest of, and to see it done so well.
