I'm quite pleased with how you ended it, indeed - I think it's lovely how this story takes on a life of its own and how in Kennedy's world the happy ending is moving on from Willow. And going further probably would have made it a lot less effective, so bravo on that.
And lol, I do know what you mean about characters taking over a fic - that pretty much happened in my remix, too. In this case an inanimate object that's not even a character in the first one. o.O
