That line stood out to me in the original fic too. I was pretty much trying to lift as many things from the original as I could, seeing's how I wasn't really retelling but expanding upon the story. I have such a soft spot for Nimueh. Her grudge against Uther seems a pretty legitimate one, what with his banning her way of life and banishing her from court for doing what he asked, and I was surprised that her retribution was cut short. I'm still halfway hoping that she comes back somehow in the second series.
