You took a silly little smutlet and turned it into something with depth and meaning!
I thought the smutlet was awesome! Very, very hot. I love the idea of Laura in Bill's tanks. Then I got the idea of Laura in Tigh's tanks, with him cupping her breast as Bill did in the original, and I wanted the mood of that to be completely different. (I'll admit, Tigh is my favorite character, but Bill and Laura are tied for second.) Then I said to my husband that Tigh would be the best man at their wedding, and the rest of the fic spiralled from there. I love the idea of the tanks being only the first thing of Bill's that looks nice on her. *sniffle*
I love Laura and Ellen being friends, or at least friendly, a little redemption and companionship they never really got.
I wish they'd had more screen time together! The "you're a prude!"/"you're a slut!"...and yet! dynamic could have been so awesome. And, of course, they both would have loved their men enough to try to get along.
