THANK YOU for the response. This is pretty much on every level the best feedback I've ever gotten on a story. I mean, IT BLINKS LIKE A RAINBOW!
And thank you for the great original material to work with. I had read various ones of these stories over the years -- "Meltdown" and a recent ficathon story or two, plus many of the Homicide fics -- but reading them over together at once was really fun, and I kept emailing my beta going *omg this awesome story I could remix*
About the remix itself, I am glad the Meltdown subtext came through loud and clear. I was a little worried that was too subtle -- originally, I was intending to incorporate the Mexico fic into the remix and have it be more about Alex and Logan's relationship. But once I had the format worked out, I realized Alex just WASN'T going to put any of that down on paper where someone might find it -- because of the signals he's getting from Logan, as much as anything. But in any case, like you said, he's a Summers boy so he just alludes to things in a passive-aggressive way. They are good at that!
Thanks again for such a nice response and for giving me so much awesomeness to work with.
