This was an amazingly god, rewarding, enjoyable read. Dawn and Xander as seen from George's perspective was a real treat, as was the chemistry between George and Xander. I really like how you portray them both as people who lead remarkable, interesting, challenging lives while being fairly blase about their situations. I enjoyed their interaction so much I immediately went looking for other DLM/BtVS crosses (I found exactly one other that's George/Xander and so for it doesn't look to be half as good as this). Even though George's musing at the end caps the story nicely she and Xander had such nice, low-key chemistry that the thought of them in a long-term relationship holds a lot of appeal (I know, I know, you don't do shipper fic). The confrontation between Buffy and George was nicely done - it made an excellent culmination (along with the later scene with Xander) to the clash of viewpoints between characters of the different worlds that underlies this story. George's suspicions about the *real* reasons Dawn was made a reaper were brilliant; very, very clever thinking on your part. Loved the bit where Dawn compares George to Buffy too - there are so many interesting, overlapping parallels and similarities drawn in this fic.

One to save to the HD, definitely.
