Yes, you're totally right about Snape vs. Petunia, and I do think your Petunia was a lot closer to canon than many kind, charming and funny Snapes I've read.

I too would like more sympathetic, human Petunia fics, if nothing else, because I don't believe Lily and Petunia could have been terribly dissimilar, heh.
