What I adore muchly about this remix is that you've taken the original silly throw-away little thing I wrote and looked much, much deeper than I ever did. You've shown me stuff I never saw, that I never considered - and all in a natural feeling sweeping back of the curtain, showing what the underlying feelings and undercurrents were lurking there. Everyone's so marvelously in character from Mickey's chats with his grandmother, to Jake's refusing to let go of Ricky to Rose's finally seeing Mickey as Mickey.
And almost as high on my priorities list is that you made this story completely and utterly yours. It doesn't need my little crack!fic, but stands wonderfully on its own, and gloriously so. Much as I adore remixes, each story needs to exist on its own, and not require reading of the original. You've done that beautifully.
