Oh, this is FANTASTIC. :D :D :D I'd nearly forgotten I'd written the original story, quite frankly, but this remix reminds me of everything I used to love about Sam's character. I like how you've taken the mood of the original and twisted it just slightly to fit into a different universe. I've never read William Gibson, but this is still very easy to follow, and makes me want to go read the trilogy now.
